COAL MINING PROFESSIONALS

Our client is a public-listed engineering group in Singapore which is establishing a new
Division engaged in mineral mining and trading. The company has secured extraction
rights for up to five million tonnes of coal and is shortly commencing coal mining
operations at a new mine in East Kalimantan and is seeking for operational managers and
supervisors with experience in the extraction, transportation, shipping and trading of coal.
MINE MANAGER (MM-IND/0108)
He will report to the Division Manager and will be responsible for all the extraction and
logistics operations at the coal mines. While the ideal candidate would currently be
handling a similar responsibility, we are also open to considering candidates with
experience in the Civil Engineering/ Heavy Earth moving/ Excavation/ Bulk Logistics
Movement sectors in addition to mining. Ability to handle hundreds of barges and trucks
everyday and ensure that the entire supply chain from extraction to despatch functions
perfectly will be key to success in the role. The position is based in East Kalimantan.
MINE CONTROLLER/ ACCOUNTANT (MCA-IND/0108)
We are looking for mining operation accountants who will be responsible for accounting,
cost tracking and financial/material controls, and financial reporting. Ideal candidates will
be qualified accountants with at least 3 years experience especially in a mining or bulk
materials handling environment. This position is based in East Kalimantan and reports to
Division Manager as well as Group finance.
SHIFT SUPERVISORS (SS-IND/0108)
For these critical operational positions, we would prefer candidates currently managing
shift operations in the mining sector with coal industry experience getting preference.
Ability to supervise excavation/extracti
earthworks, ensure quality of work life and product quality, safety, productivity and
efficiency will be essential. The positions are based in East Kalimantan and report to Coal
Mine Manager.
COAL TRADER - SINGAPORE HQ (TD-SG/0108)
We are looking for a seasoned minerals trader, preferably with significant coal trading
experience to be based in Singapore. The position reports to the Division Manager. The
candidate must combine trading aggression with sensible risk management policies and
build a fast growing coal trading desk to ensure successful sales of the coal extracted by
the Company.
