To conduct the duties and functions of the National AIDS Commission (NAC) as
stipulated in the Presidential Regulation No. 75 Year 2006, the NAC
Secretariat needs professional human resources to fill the position of:
*1. **Resource Mobilization Officer*
*Qualifications Required:*
- Advanced university degree in public relations, education, public
affairs, international relations or other related field
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in national and
international fund raising and advocacy
- Proven satisfactory record in obtaining external funding.
- Understanding of HIV issues and situations in Indonesia, as well as
at regional and international setting
- Knowledge of government development polices, private sector
philanthropy and funding and other resource mobilization mechanisms within
bilateral and multilateral development agencies
- Has an outgoing personality and able to interact well at all levels,
among others with the donor agencies, the private sector, government bodies,
civil societies and affected communities
- Experience in event management or planning with proven ability to
conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas
- Good analytical, negotiating, communication and organizational
skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills are essential
- Fluency in English is required, both oral and written

*2. **Secretary for the Local Organizing Committee 9th International
Conference on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) for 17 Months*

· University degree in public relations, Communication
· Experience in event management
· Fluency in English is required, both oral and written

· Effective management skills

*Background*
Indonesia has been chosen to host the 9th International Conference on AIDS
in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP), one of the most important conferences on
AIDS in the region. Organizers for the biannual ICAAP are chosen through a
stringent bidding process among member countries of the AIDS Society of Asia
and the Pacific (ASAP). The previous ICAAP was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in
2007.
The 9th ICAAP is scheduled to be held at the Bali International Convention
Center in Nusa Dua, Bali on 9-13 August 2009.
The National AIDS Commission is supporting the organizing of the 9th ICAAP
through its Local Organizing Committee (LOC) chaired by Prof. Zubairi
Djoerban and co-chaired by Dr. D.N. Wirawan.
*Objectives of the Programme*
The secretariat of the National AIDS Commission is recruiting a Secretary
for the 9th ICAAP Local Organizing Committee to ensure the smooth running of
the preparation for the ICAAP.
The Secretary for the 9th ICAAP Local Organizing Committee will be
responsible for preparation of the ICAAP and coordination among members of
the LOC, which may include: scheduling and ensuring the smooth running of
preparatory meetings, managing relations between ASAP and the LOC, regular
reporting of the progress of the preparations to ASAP and other members of
the LOC, as well as developing and negotiating proposals for the selection
of conference organizers.
*Specific Responsibilities*
The Secretary for the 9th ICAAP Local Organizing Committee will report
directly to the Chair and Co-Chair of the LOC, and for the duration of the
contract will have specific responsibilities as follows:
· Provide organizational and operational support for the LOC,
including schedule and organize meetings of the LOC, prepare meeting
documents, organizing and following-up on meetings, and coordinating
relevant information sharing.
· Identify references and sources of information that may help the
LOC in specific preparations, and distribute it among members.
· Maintain relations and regular reporting with the ASAP and members
of the ICAAP Working Groups.
· Regular update on the progress of the preparations for the
9thICAAP through the website and other network.
· Developing and negotiating proposals for the selection of
consultants and professional services that may be contracted for the 9thICAAP.
· Perform other duties as directed by the Chair and Co-Chair of the 9
th ICAAP LOC.
*Required Skills and Experience*
The Secretary for the 9th ICAAP Local Organizing Committee should have the
following qualifications:
· University degree
· Excellence in written and spoken English
· Experience working for a similar position preferred
· Effective management skills
