FINANCE DIRECTOR
-Indonesia-
The incumbent will have dual reporting line to Country Manager-MD and Regional Finance Director-ASEAN.
Major Key Responsibilities:
1. Provides commercial and financial leadership to company's Operations in Indonesia and ASEAN and acts in an advisory role to the management team on all commercially strategic issues. To achieve this, the incumbent must have a deep appreciation of company's business targets, profit, market share, competition, products, customer service, and logistics opportunities, among others.
2. Provides accurate data of the company key business indicators, growth, key customers, profitability, and costs, margins and cash generation.
3. In conjunction with the management team, strives to achieve a long term competitive position in costs, customer service and innovation.
4. Ensures compliance with company's values, policies, corporate strategy and rules and regulations as laid down by local authorities and government departments is also required.
5. Manages the other OpCo Finance Leaders in the cluster.
6. Consolidates legal entities, develops financial strategies to bring about a difference in cluster results.
7. Fiduciary role – Ensure that the transactions are recorded and reported in compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Ensure that the assets of the company are properly safeguarded. Champion for Code of Ethics.
8. Financial turnaround: strategy formulation and business planning – Set stretching business objectives for APAC and OpCos. Steer the financial turnaround of the business in APAC. Identify areas of opportunities for margin improvement or waste elimination. Facilitate decisions on strategic choices and resource allocation.
9. Financial analysis & reporting – Monitor financial performance of APAC & OpCos as well as KPIs of key strategic imperatives. Identify issues and actions required to bridge performance gaps. Provide timely reporting with appropriate variance analysis to keep the region on track to deliver against its financial targets.
10. Financial evaluation – Ensure that business plans/proposals and MEAs are prepared with robust financials and that risks are identified and mitigated. Ensure that business plans meet appropriate ROI/NPV hurdles. Carry out post evaluations after implementation to assess quality of implementation.
11. Financial business partnering – Provide financial advice to the Regional President, RLT and OpCo MDs.
12. Execution of strategic imperatives – Contribute to the steering of the implementation of strategic impertives and change management.
13. SOX & internal controls – Responsible for SOX compliance and level of internal control in APAC. Ensure that key financial controls are operating effectively in the region.
14. Treasury & Tax – With specialist support from headquarters, manage the relevant treasury and tax matters in line with corporate requirements.
15. Finance functional excellence – Responsible for the building and development of finance team and functional capabilities (e.g. Growth & Profitability). Drive the improvement in financial processes and efficiency.
16. Contract with headquarters – Maintain contact with relevant headquarter functions, including: Corporate Controller, FP&A, Internal Audit, Treasury, Corporate Tax, Legal, IT, Value Chain Finance and other global project leaders.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree level a minimum, ideally with a scientific and business education to MS / MBA level
Min 15 years total experience with 5 years P&L leadership experience , preferable from multinational company
Having strong networks in related industries
Direct or extensive interactive work experience with all other functional areas of business.
Successful experience working in matrix organizations regionally and globally. Ideally with experience leading projects across such a matrix.
High standard of education in English ; with strong verbal and written communications skills in languages.

An ability to handle complex and ambiguity situations.

Able to sustain long days and continuous nights away from home.
Ability to chair meetings effectively
