MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (CONTRACT) – Salary : £18 per hour
Role :
-
The interpretation of customer's technical
specifications, shop liaison, resolving production and quality issues.
-
Implementing cost reductions through the
use of "Lean" manufacturing techniques throughout their planning procedures.
Main Tasks:
o Support the bid process
o Support the customer during
the design stage with concurrent engineering.
o Produce Routings, Bills of
Material, and Build instructions from customer documentation to the specified
requirements.
o Determine the tooling
required.
o Generation of data and
acquisition of all tooling.
o Support the manufacturing
process.
o Participate in continuous
improvement.
Skills
-
Individual skill requirements and attainment can be found on the company's
skills matrix.
Authorities
These will be requested by the Engineering
Manager following training and attainment of the necessary competences relative
to the specific process being performed.
-
BAAN access authority will be requested from the IT Manager.
Stamp allocation will be requested from the Quality Manager
Applicants need the following:
•
Possess an Aerospace / Engineering
Apprenticeship or equivalent and be qualified to ONC level with relevant
experience in sheet metal manufacture and / or structural aircraft assembly
techniques;
•
Knowledge of Helix drafting, Baan operating
system and Catia an advantage;
•
Are prepared to work in a cost sensitive
production environment which demands a high level of skill and self motivation;
•
Good communication skills and the ability
to work on their own initiative.
•
FLUENT in ENGLISH both written and spoken

SKILLED AIRFRAME FITTERS (TEMPORARY CONTRACT) – Salary
:
£22,000 per year
Duties include:
-
Carrying
out of a range of Skilled tasks to aid in meeting production requirements

Undertake
to carry out one or some of the following examples – Assembly of aircraft
details, true up of details, marking and drilling of details and assemblies as
well as the production and forming of details to appropriate Media.
Candidates need to be individuals
who:

Possess
an Aerospace / Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent;
·
Are
prepared to work in a cost sensitive production environment which demands a
high level of skill and self motivation.

Can
ideally illustrate previous Airframe/Mechanical Assembly experience;
·
Ability to read and
interpret engineering drawings essential
·
Are
Team players
·
English
