NEEDED: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

General Requirement:

Four (4) year college degree in Biological Sciences with courses in microbiology
one (1) year documented microbiology laboratory experience
Proficient with computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access;
English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing.

Duties:

Under supervision, prepares, uses, and stores laboratory reagents;
performs diagnostic assays as directed;
maintains and operates laboratory equipment;
accessions, processes and archives clinical specimens submitted to the laboratory.
Familiar with cryo-storage of pathogens.
Maintains scientific laboratory notebooks and computer data files.
