Power System Principal/Associate principal/
Senior Engineer/Engineer - Power Plant System
Main Responsibilities :
• Power system analysis and simulations in relation to WWP grid compliance. Document and evaluate the results.
• Evaluation and documentation on pre-design results
• Power Plant performance R&D.
Pre-requisites:
• Master / PhD in Power System Engineering
• Strong knowledge in transmission system primary and or secondary system design
• Strong knowledge in Power system analysis and planning
• Knowledge of Simulation tools (PSS/E, DIgSILENT Power Factory, PSCAD, Matlab), Protection design, Electrical drives and control and Technical writing
• Minimum 15 years experience in power plant / industry for a graduate and 8 years for a post graduate, of which at least 4 years should be in a similar responsible position.
• Shall be responsible for proactive & reliability centered maintenance of electrical equipment and systems installed in a modern GT/ST power and desalination plant.
• Should be able to plan & schedule all maintenance activities with cost effective inventory management and prepare & control budgetary provisions.
• Good co-coordinating, organizing, planning & communication skills are required.
• Should have in depth knowledge of all electrical equipment of a power plant, sequence controls & protections and exposure to Quality, Safety & Environment Management Systems, Root Cause Analysis & computer-aided maintenance techniques.
General skills and qualifications required:
- Male, Age between 35 – 50 years old.
- Must have excellent spoken and written in English
- Working Reference and Computer literate
- A self starter, energetic, good personality, highly motivated and inspirational
- Have excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and good team work.
