We are currently seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer for an Engineering Contractor in Aberdeen.
This is a contract role with a March start date and working on an ongoing basis.
Duties include the following;
Technically directing and controlling all aspects of static and rotating equipment mechanical equipment design and manufacture.
Carrying out mechanical equipment design activities.
Assisting in process systems design.
Carrying out troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems.
Liaising and co-ordinating with other discipline groups on specific projects to ensure deliverables are produced to meet deadlines and within budget constraints.
Producing and reviewing documents, study reports and design calculations and ensuring conformance to engineering quality and competence.
Allocating and managing discipline resources, including input to manpower plans.
Coaching, supporting and developing mechanical engineers to achieve their career potential.
Promoting safe behaviour at all times.
Ensuring compliance of all activities with the company Health, Safety Environmental and Quality policies.
Support Lead Engineering in development of Graduates.
Act as technical authority as required for operating units.
