The position is Section Manager with a Major Global Medical Device
Company. This company is moving their current sw/hw platform to a new
technology platform which will involve a turnover of their current
product line and architecture. The candidate will be at the ground
floor of this exciting time.
By way of technical and managerial expertise, this position will be
responsible to manage a section of R&D department that contains
several projects. This person will have duties including managing
internal and external software development teams and budget
oversight.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The company will only consider candidates with medical device
software development and project management experience, preferred
experience with projects lasting more than 24 months.
--Work with other product groups to solve highly complex, unique
issues which may require developing new techniques, methods and
technologies. Apply the solution to multiple projects.
--Ensure that each project completes module unit tests, subsystem
tests, and integration tests to ensure correct operation and quality.
--Guide direct reports during new product development implementation
following company's development processes, and standards.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED:
--B.S. in Electrical Engineering/
equivalent design and programming experience.
--Product development experience.
--Experienced in leading multi-disciplined development projects
requiring development of a diverse range of technologies.
--Diverse knowledge of materials, technologies, and manufacturing
processes.
