[vacancy] Senior IT Technical Support Engineer - Singapore



Requirements:

Responsibilities:
• Accountable for coordinating and providing support for local IT support to users
• First level analysis will includes the following activities:
• Validate Authorized User comments when logging tickets
• Validate Systems operation
• Identify the number of users affected by the same problem
• Investigate sources of incidents
• Investigate on workarounds and where possible resolve the problem without the need to raise a ticket
• Document a problem statement
• Ensure data in Call Tracking Systems meets the prescribed standards
• Facilitate incident management by helping the superusers to document the incidents / service requests,
• Measuring and reporting system / network performance
• Printer setup and configuration in SAP [no SAP knowledge required]
• Initiate printer definition process
• Check and track User's jobs.
• Resubmit User jobs, cancel User jobs, move them to other destinations or change User job submission parameters when required (only related to SAP).
• Help Users solve simple Incidents.
• Assist the IT implementation team in setting up IT infrastructure

Experience and Skills Needed:
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills – outgoing and enthusiastic able to interact with clients as well as users
• Able to lead and plan a small team to coordinate and manage the work for multiple areas
• Able to plan, track progress and report effectively working with the overall implementation project managers and customers
• Customer oriented with excellent customer care skills – respectful, sensitive, able to relate
• Strong achievement focus – high energy and committed to end results
• Required Analytical skills to identify where the technical issue is and try to move the same in the right direction for early resolution.
• Minimum 2 years IT support experience or working in an IT/IS Support Environment
• IT knowledge:
• PC Support,
• Networking - TCP/IP, Administering and supporting LAN
• Desktop Support-General Hardware knowledge
• Windows Operating System Knowledge e.g. XP,2000
• Citrix Meta frame Client and ICA
• System administration essentials
• Some knowledge of SAP desirable

Other Essential Attributes:
- Analytical, self-motivated and strong sense of responsibility, organized, attention to details team player
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate with all levels of users
- Good command of spoken English
