The Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) is conceived and designed with Indonesian stakeholders (public and private) and other international stakeholders in an effort to create and enable an effective, coherent, and comprehensive framework for private sector development in Indonesia at both the national and governorate levels in three priority Governorates, as a means of achieving: (I) sustainable and increased employment opportunities; (II) poverty reduction; (III) the enhancement of the legal and regulatory framework which will allow an increase in sustained domestic and international investment; (IV) the development of a legal and regulatory framework designed to perpetuate an overall rational, coherent, and economic environment; and, (V) the diversification the basis of future economic growth in Indonesia in a gender inclusive and environmentally sustainable manner.

General Required Competencies
Technical: Proficient knowledge of private sector development and investment promotion concepts and methods. Proven competence in the areas of economic and social regeneration, public-private partnerships, privatization, trade policies and innovation strategies. Demonstrated technical expertise to provide seasoned advice on best practices, address broader issues outside the field of specialization, formulate new concepts and methodologies, develop training materials, alternative courses of action, project proposals, policy, procedural matters and present them at high-level meetings. Ability to conceptualize, design research techniques, plan, coordinate and conduct research work in the specialised technical field. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and monitor technical cooperation activities and projects. Knowledge of post-conflict contexts and issues. Good computer skills (MS Word, EXCEL, Power Point).
Behavioural: Analytical thinking; planning, organizing and problem solving abilities; strong leadership and team-building skills, staff management and capacity building experience; capacity to maintain a high level dialogue with those responsible on the political and administrative level; ability to work productively and cooperatively in a multi-cultural team environment; ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines; highly organized and result-oriented.
Proven communication and drafting skills, both written and verbal. Willingness and flexibility to undertake frequent missions to Iraq (Baghdad and other locations).
