A major Oil and Gas Operator Company currently has an opening for an experienced Technical Audit QC-Geophysical Surveying. The role will support offshore geophysical survey teams. The role is a short term contract; however the identified candidate could be offered several assignments yearly. The position would suit candidates with a minimum of 5 years experience who are looking for the opportunity to work with a market leading company on international projects.
Candidates must fulfil the following criteria;
- Minimum of five years geophysical field experience who has detailed knowledge of testing seismic recording equipment, source equipment together with the operational techniques used for seismic surveys
- Conduct technical audits (instruments and positioning accuracy) to assess compliance with contract requirements, as well as regulatory and industry standards
- Verify adherence of the systems to the contract technical and manufacturers specifications
- Provide where appropriate quality control / verification software to check performance of acquisition and source systems
- Verify adherence to the contract requirements and equipment manufacturers specifications
- Recommend technical improvements or corrective actions
- Work with SHE, Technical and other QCs as a team
